Ahlchemy Snap Open the booth

Refunds

Last changed 1 August 2026

Short version: if it does not work for you, tell us and we will sort it out. What follows is what you can hold us to.

Subscriptions

WhenWhat happens
First 2 days A full refund, for any reason at all. You do not have to explain.
Monthly, after that Cancel any time. It keeps working until the month you have paid for ends. We do not refund part of a month unless something was broken.
Yearly, after 2 days Cancel any time and it keeps working to the end of the year. If you cancel in the first half, we refund the unused months on request.
Something was broken If a fault on our side stopped you running an event, tell us and we will refund that period whether or not any of the above applies.

Add-ons

Frames, layouts, backgrounds and props are downloads, so once they are on your device they cannot meaningfully be given back. All the same:

What happens when a payment fails

A booth does not stop working the moment a card is declined. We try again over several days and tell you each time. If it still cannot be collected, the booth keeps running for a further grace period before anything is limited — and never in the middle of an event. A subscription problem is a matter for a Tuesday morning, not for the moment somebody is standing in front of a camera.

How to ask

Use the feedback form in the app, or write to us. Refunds go back to the card that paid, usually within five to ten working days once approved.

A note while this is in draft

Not yet reviewed by a lawyer, and not yet checked against Stripe's own requirements or the consumer-rights rules where your customers live. This matters more since the window was shortened to two days: the UK and the EU give consumers fourteen days to cancel a distance sale by law, whatever a policy says, and several other places have their own. A two-day window is likely fine for customers in the United States and unenforceable elsewhere. Have somebody qualified read it before you take a payment.
